Come and stay in our cosy, beautifully decorated cottages!
We've got two lovely, detached cottages, the Signalbox Studio, which sleeps 2, and Farley Cottage, which sleeps 4. Both have fully enclosed gardens, off-road parking, log burners, brick barbecues and are comfortably furnished with everything you need for a relaxing holiday.
They're located in the quiet Northumbrian village of Ellingham. It's got a great, dog friendly pub that does delicious home cooked food and is ideally positioned for exploring the area as it's a short drive south to the market town of Alnwick and only 5 miles inland from the coast.

Dog Friendly
Both cottages have a fully enclosed, private garden. Farley welcomes 4 dogs (more by arrangement). The Signalbox welcomes one meduim/large or two small dogs. Dogs are very welcome at the local pub, The Packhorse Inn.
Guests
Farley Cottage sleeps 4 in two bedrooms. The master bedroom has a kingsize bed and ensuite. The second bedroom has two full-size single beds.
The Signalbox has a standard double bed and is perfect for either a single person or a couple, looking for a cosy getaway. It is not recommended for those with mobility issues as it is accessed via an external staircase.
Wifi
Both cottages have their own fibre broadband so you can stream all you favourite services and use the internet to check out the many great things to do and places to visit locally.
Family friendly
Farley Cottage is well-equipped for families with lots of toys, books and games. We also supply a travel cot and highchair so you don't need to pack them. Because of its size, the Signalbox Studio is not suitable for families.
Indoors
Farley Cottage has a spacious sitting room, large kitchen diner and south facing sunroom, two large sofas, a log burner for cosy evenings in, and a large dining table that's perfect for family meals together.
The Signalbox is a cosy studio, and is comfortably furnished with sofa, log burner and dining table for two.
Well-equipped kitchen
It's great to eat out when you are on holiday, but sometimes you just want to eat in, and both cottages have a well-equipped kitchen, including dishwasher and washing machine.
Near to the beach
The cottages are situated in the quiet village of Ellingham. It takes about 10 minutes to drive the 5 miles to Beadnell. Other nearby beaches include Low Newton, Seahouses and Bamburgh.
Outdoors
Both cottages have off-road parking, fully enclosed, private gardens with a brick built barbecue and patio furniture.
Farley Cottage has a south facing sunroom so you can enjoy the garden whatever the weather.
The Signalbox has a lovely south facing balcony with patio furniture and countryside views.
Village location
The cottages are situated on the edge of the small, peaceful village of Ellingham. It's got a dog friendly pub, small village hall and church.

See and Do
Ellingham is a lovely little village with a resident population of about 300. It's got a dog friendly pub that does great food within a minute's walk of the cottage, plus walks from the door. The gorgeous beaches of Beadnell Bay and Low Newton are both within a short drive as are the fab seaside villages of Seahouses and Bamburgh, and market town of Alnwick where you can visit the Castle and Gardens, shop in Border books or visit the Bailiffgate museum.
Further afield is the border town of Berwick-upon-Tweed or you can drive south to the city of Newcastle. Other recommendations include Lindesfarne, Warkworth, Amble, Wooler, Cragside House, walking and rock climbing in the Cheviots and boat trips to the Farne Isles.

This cottage is amazing and caters for every need, the garden is perfect and so secure, it really is beautiful and the village is so quiet ... we loved it so much we booked before we left, think that says it all! We have stayed in so many cottages but I think this one has to be the best!"
